Dawnwalker Forge It Anew: All Sword Shards
All three Sword Shard locations, the Uriashi blacksmith and the final ritual for the legendary Imbued Sword of St. Mihai.
Get the Broken Sword of St. Mihai from A Monk and a Saint, collect the three shards from Maragir Wealds, Rockfalls and the St. Tyna's Grove lead into The Silts, then bring everything to the Uriashi Hermitage in northwest Briar Sloughs. Complete the nearby ritual to upgrade the restored blade into the legendary Imbued Sword of St. Mihai.
Start Forge It Anew
Complete A Monk and a Saint in Svartrau and read the note in St. Mihai's coffin after the encounter. This provides the broken hilt and the full restoration objective. Finding a shard cave early can start its subquest, but the final weapon still needs the broken sword.
The three shards are in separate Kobold-related routes. Inspect the cave paintings in a nest to add clues for the other locations.
| Requirement | Where |
|---|---|
| Broken Sword of St. Mihai | A Monk and a Saint, Svartrau cathedral crypt |
| Shard 1 | Northeast Maragir Wealds |
| Shard 2 | North Rockfalls |
| Shard 3 | South St. Tyna's Grove lead, then Xanthe's camp in The Silts |
| Blacksmith | Uriashi Hermitage, northwest Briar Sloughs |
All three Sword Shards
For the Maragir shard, travel northeast of the Upper Maragir Wealds shrine and cross the river. Follow the trail into the Kobold den and take the shard from the broken cross.
The Rockfalls nest sits east of Westridge Outpost and southwest of Giant's Pawns. Enter the cave marked by a large white X, defeat the poisoned Kobold Munch-Munch and loot the shard. For the final route, investigate the nest southeast of Crossroads Inn; the clues redirect you to Xanthe's camp in The Silts, where the shard is inside the main tent chest.
| Shard | Landmark | Threat |
|---|---|---|
| Maragir | Across the river northeast of Upper Maragir shrine | Kobold den |
| Rockfalls | Southwest of Giant's Pawns shrine; white X over cave | Munch-Munch and poison |
| St. Tyna's lead | Southeast of Crossroads Inn | Trail continues to The Silts |
| Final chest | Xanthe camp in The Silts | Camp enemies around the main tent |
Find the Uriashi blacksmith
Take the broken sword and all three shards to the Uriashi Hermitage shrine in northwest Briar Sloughs. Continue through the forest and uphill to the standing-stone circle. The hornless Uriashi there is the blacksmith who can restore the blade.
Choose the dialogue that makes Coen's intention to fight Brencis clear, then hand over the pieces. The restored sword is not yet its strongest version; the quest continues to an ancient site farther northwest.
Temper the legendary sword
Follow the new marker into the ruins beyond the hermitage. Clear the spectral enemies, including the Echoing Anger encounter, and reach the supernatural red orb. Interacting with it tempers the restored weapon.
The final reward is the legendary Imbued Sword of St. Mihai, a high-value anti-vampire greatsword and a strong preparation choice for the Brencis route.
- Carry healing and poison protection for Munch-Munch
- Do not leave the third nest when it is empty; follow the clues to The Silts
- Bring the broken hilt as well as all three shards
- Finish the ritual after reforging—the restored sword is not the final form
